Karva Chauth : MANMAT

The embracing of the customs like Karva Chauth(fasting) and any type of other such Rituals are strongly & clearly condemned by our GURU SAAHIBAN………….

These superstitious rituals have been reviled by our GURUS but Today’s SIKHS are very happily entering into such superstitious rituals. Thus, becoming MANMATS.

This is completely illogical to worship moon for long life of one's spouce.

Kabir Ji has clearly written in Guru Granth Sahib Ji –

ਛੋਡਹਿ ਅੰਨੁ ਕਰਹਿ ਪਾਖੰਡ !! ਨਾ ਸੋਹਾਗਨਿ ਨਾ ਓਹਿ ਰੰਡ !! (ਅੰਗ - 873)

Chhode Ann Kare Pakhand !! Na Sohagan Na Oh Rand !! (Ang: 873) 

* ਕਬੀਰ ਜੀ ਸਮਝਾਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ ਕਿ ਓਹ ਜੀਵ ਇਸਤਰੀ ਨਾ ਸੁਹਾਗਨ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਨਾ ਹੀ ਵਿਧਵਾ ਜੋ ਕਿ ਅੰਨ-ਪਾਣੀ ਤਿਆਗ ਕੇ ਪਾਖੰਡ (ਵਰਤ) ਕਰਦੀ ਹੈ ! ਇਹ ਸਭ ਇੱਕ ਵਿਖਾਵਾ ਹੈ !

* Kabir Ji Samjhaunde han ki Oh Jeev Istri na suhagvati hai ate na hi Vidhva hai Jehri Vart Rakhdi hai. Eh sabh Pakhand han, Vikhava han.

There are a number of Shabads in Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji that teach us not to come under influence of such superstitions as they are nowhere helping and would leave us with more and more ignorance.

“ VARAT KAREH CHANDRAIYNA SE KITAI NA LEKHA'N !! ” (Ang: 1099)

*They keep Fast but These are of no account……

"KABIR HAR KA SIMRAN CHHAD KAI AHOYEE RAAKHAI NAAR !!

GADHEE HOEY KAI AUTRAI BHAAR SAHAI MANN CHAAR !!" ( Ang: 1370)

* ਕਬੀਰ ਜੀ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਸਮਝਾਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ ਕਿ ਜੋ ਔਰਤਾਂ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਛਡ ਕੇ ਉਸ ਅਕਾਲ ਪੁਰਖ ਨੂੰ ਭੁਲਾ ਕੇ ਵਰਤ ਰਖਦਿਆਂ ਹਨ, ਓਹ ਅਗਲੇ ਜਨਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਗਧੀ ਬਣ ਕ ਭਾਰ ਹੀ ਧੋਂਦਿਆਂ ਹਨ !

ਭਾਵ : ਉਹ ੮੪ ਦੇ ਗੇੜ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੀ ਫੱਸੇ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ..

* Kabir ji sanu samjhaunde han ki Jo Aurtaa'n PARMATMA da SIMRAN chhad ke us AKAL PURAKH nu bhul ke VARAT rakhdian ne oh agle janam vich Gadhi(KHOTI) ban ke bhaar hi dhondina ne.

This is all our ignorance that we are going away from the sea of knowledge 'Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji ' and adopting such rubbish in name of customs. No customs/practices of fasting can add to the life provided by the Almighty even a single day.

* ਗੁਰੂ ਪਿਆਰੀ ਸਾਧ-ਸੰਗਤ ਜੀਓ, ਗੁਰਮਤ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਵਰਤ ਰਖਣੇ ਕੇਵਲ ਇੱਕ ਮਨਮਤ ਹੈ ! ਪਤਨੀ ਦੇ ਅੰਨ-ਪਾਣੀ ਤਿਆਗ ਕੇ ਵਰਤ ਕਰਨ ਨਾਲ ਪਤੀ ਦੀ ਉਮਰ ਲੰਬੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋ ਸਕਦੀ !

ਸਿੱਖੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਰਤ ਕਰਨੇ ਦੀ ਕੋਈ ਜਗ੍ਹਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ ਜੀ...

ਸੋ ਆਓ ਗੁਰੂ ਸਵਾਰਿਓ ਜੀ, ਗੁਰੂ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਜੀ ਦੇ ਕਹੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਚਲਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਇਹਨਾਂ ਬ੍ਰਾਹਮਣਵਾਦ ਮਨਮਤੀ ਰੀਤੀ-ਰਿਵਾਜ਼ਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਾ ਫਸੀਏ ਅਤੇ ਗੁਰਬਾਣੀ ਵਿਚਾਰ ਨਾਲ ਜੁੜੀਏ !

ਨਾਮ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਹੀ ਸਭ ਬਿਪਤਾਵਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਨਿਵਿਰਤ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ ! ਸਭ ਸੁਖਾਂ ਦਾ ਖਜਾਨਾ ਹੈ !

* Guru Pyari Sadh Sangat Ji, GURMAT Anusar VARAT rakhne Manmat Hai Ji....SIKHI ch VARAT di koi jagah nahi
