Gurudongmar Lake

Gurudongmar Lake is one of the highest lakes in the world located at an altitude of 16,890 feet. It lies on the North side of the Khangchengyao Range, on the border of Sikkim & Tibet/ China, in a
high plateau area contiguous to the Tibetan Plateau. At the request of yak grazers, who complainedabout the water scarcity during harsh winters, Guru Nanak blessed the lake with his walking stick
